In addition to the world class academic environment, CSU is home to many galleries, sculptures, parks, and other outdoor venues. CSU was founded in 1870 as the Colorado Agricultural College, six years before the Colorado Territory became a state.

around, the Oval is filled with lawns, walkways and trees.
